Hello Everyone ~ today’s Bloom and Grow with Glycerin Coloring creation uses a designer series paper you would not think to pair with this set.
Well I got the projects for a class I am going to try and do completed yesterday. I want to offer a small gift ideas class before I leave for Maryland. I also got the girls Advent Calendars finished, stuffed, and ready to mail. I will mail them out to day. I did not get cards or videos made for this week so I will work on those today. I also need to find a few more items to put in the surprise box for the gang. I may need to make a trip to Dollar Tree and Wal-mart to see what I can find to add so I can mail out that box next week.
My card today uses a designer series paper with a stamp set you would not think to pair together. I began with the Bloom and Grow stamp set and stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I checked out my designer series paper to see if I had one that would help with deciding of what colors to use. The See a Silhouette paper had a piece that I could work with. After pulling the ink pads, I then used glycerin and Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Mossy Meadow, and Pear Pizzazz inks to color the image. I set the image aside to give the glycerin a little time to dry. A panel of Melon Mambo was cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″. A piece of the designer series paper was cut at 2 1/2″ x 4″ and added to the top of the Melon Mambo card stock. The Silver metallic edge ribbon was added to cover the edge of the patterned paper. This panel was then added to the Whisper White card base. Basic Black was used as the back layer of the stamped image and then it was added to the card base on the left hand side just slightly lower than center. To finish the card, a knot was tied around the ribbon on the right hand side. Here is the completed Bloom and Grow With Glycerin Coloring creation.
